Iyanda, Oladimeji, (pastor) was born on the early hours Friday 19th July 1974 at Lagos Island Maternity into the family of Late Pa. Noah Olatunji Iyanda Ogbomosho North Local Government Area of Oyo State and Deaconess Florence Oyinlola Iyanda (nee Moses). He is (though the first male child) the second child of the four children.
A registered Town Planner (rtp), member of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners (mnitp) and member Nigerian Institute of Environmental Society (mnes), Iyanda, Oladimeji is a Principal Lecturer and a member of staff of the Urban and Regional Planning Department, School of Environmental Studies, Yaba College of Technology, Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria. A proud product of Yaba College of Technology: “Yaba the Great, the first and still the best institution of higher learning in Nigeria”!
He had his primary education at Ade Oshodi Memorial Baptist Primary School, Lagos, secondary education at Federal Government College Ogbomosho, Oyo State. He proceeded to Yaba College of Technology Yaba, Lagos, where he had his higher education National Diploma (ND, 1995), Higher National Diploma (HND, 1999) and Full Professional Graduate Diploma (FPGD, 2004) in Urban and Regional Planning. He won the Tpl Remi Makinde Award for the Best Planning Theory Full Professional Graduate student in 2004/2005 Academic Session. In 2010, he completed his M.Sc. programme in Housing Development and Management from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State Nigeria (Nigeria's premier University!). He gained admission to study MphiI/PhD in Environmental Science and Management at the University of Ghana, Legon, Accra, Ghana in 2011. He is presently a PhD Housing Student at the KwaZulu-Natal University, Durban, South Africa.
"Iyanda" as he is fondly called by all staff members and Colleagues joined Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, Nigeria in 2007 and has since been lecturing the studio design course with other senior colleagues at all levels of the Department till date. He however, started his Town Planning career with Olaseni Jamba & Co (1999-2003), Comprehensive Urban Development Consultants (2003 - 2005), Oladimeji - Iyanda & Co (2005 - 2007), Diel & Associates (2007 - 2010), Professional Consultant and Partner to Muraina Musibau & Associates Ltd (since 2010). He is currently the Managing Partner of Global Geodata Projects Consultancy. He has carried out several physical development projects within and outside the Lagos and Nigeria.
He has won the TETFUND National grant and authored three textbooks several research publications presented at various conferences locally and internationally. He is the On-Air Personality (OAP), anchor and presenter of the weekly Wednesday “The Built Environment” a program powered by the School of Environmental Studies, Yaba College of Technology, Yaba, Lagos Nigeria on YABATECH Radio 89.3 fm. The Station with the vibes. Participant at the Eleventh Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF11) held in Katowice, Poland held 26th – 30th June 2022. Organized by the United Nations Settlements Programme (UN-Habitant) to explore solutions and innovations to transform our cities for a more sustainable Urban Future. He has served on several physical development master plan committee at the National and State level. Such as Abuja Galadimawa master plan (2005), University of Ghana, Lagoen Accra Development guide (2011) Minna Development Plan (2013) Badagry Development master plan (2022), Oshodi-Isolo Development Plan (2023). Yaba College of Technology Epe and Main Campus Development Master Plan (2003, 2013 and 2024).
He is a Christian (Baptist) and happily married to Adebowale with children (Oreoluwa, Oluwadamilare, Motunlayo and Moyinoluwa).
